You will need to choose a private insurance plan within your state and will need to consider:
- Monthly Premiums and Drug Cost once you choose an insurance company they have the option
at any time with 60 day notice; however, you are still locked in for the full term of your contact.
- Drug Coverage - not all drugs are covered, this will be very important if you are a couple,
cross check to make sure both of your medication are included.
- Drug Exclusion - some drugs are excluded from the program, you will need to clarify this with
the private insurance plan.
- Generic Substitution - with some plans you will automatically be given the generic versus
the brand, you will not have a choice.
- No Choice of Pharmacy - you will not have a choice on which Pharmacy you would like to use.
Some plans they will restrict the quantity, meaning you will receive a 30 day supply versus a 90 day
supply - a monthly trip to the pharmacy.
How much it will cost you:
| Monthly Premiums |
$444.00 $37.00 per month* |
